InnoWave Team Teaching at School on Sustainable Development

On July 4th 24, the GrInnWave Team hosted a meaningful event focused on environmental consciousness with children from the Poorna Prajna School Education Centre. This Initiative was designed to promote sustainability through a friendly, eco-conscious activity where children were encouraged to create something out of waste materials.

Children from Class 7 and Class 8, totalling 150 kids, displayed remarkable creativity by making various products from waste materials. Our team was thrilled by their unique and special items. After a challenging selection process, we chose the top 4 winners. We also conducted a session on sustainable development, emphasizing environmental health, social equity, and economic viability, and distributed thank-you souvenirs to all the participants.

  • Sustainable Development:  Our presentation focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to raise awareness among the children. We encouraged them to actively participate in sustainable activities at school, at home, and within their communities. At the end of the session, we engaged the children in an interactive activity about the SDGs, where they actively participated and spoke on various topics.

  • Out of Waste: We had asked the school children to bring and prepare something Out of Waste materials. On the day of the event, we were delighted to see the innovative ideas and creativity of the children in making special items from waste. Each creation was unique, and it was overwhelming to see their enthusiastic participation. Although every child deserved recognition, we selected the top 4 winners from the competition. The children’s spirit and enthusiasm were truly remarkable, and their efforts filled us with joy.
  • Eco-Friendly Souvenirs: As a token of our appreciation, we presented all participating children with small eco-friendly plantable recycled paper seed ball pens, along with chocolates. The Winners of the competition received “Sow and Grow DIY Easy Gardening Kits” which are biodegradable & non-toxic. This gesture not only expressed our gratitude but also reinforced our commitment to environmental stewardship.

Let’s come together to celebrate Teaching at School and make our future generations more towards the sustainability!
