OpenAI has reintroduced ChatGPT’s web browsing feature, allowing it to provide real-time answers from current and authoritative sources. This feature, called “Browse with Bing,” is initially available to Plus and Enterprise subscribers but will be rolled out to all users soon. Users can access it via the browser version and iOS app. By enabling this feature, ChatGPT can retrieve information from the web, providing more accurate and up-to-date responses. This addition also allows users to verify the sources of information and is a significant improvement for fact-checking and credibility. OpenAI had initially introduced web browsing in late June but withdrew it after users found ways to access paywalled content. The company has since improved its web crawling capabilities to respect Robots.txt files.
