May the 4th Paws Be With You: Fitness Walk with Friends
On May 4th, the #GrInnWave team hosted a special dog walking event at Mata Nacional do Choupal in collaboration with Condeixa Pa’tudos, an association dedicated to animal protection. The day was a great success, with participants enjoying a refreshing walk alongside dogs and learning training techniques from Octávio Pinao of Positive Way Animals. Octávio is an expert personal trainer with a Post-Graduate qualification in Companion Animal Training.
Highlights of the Event
Attendees met and engaged with animals available for adoption, enjoying fun activities and building connections. The event promoted physical fitness, and community involvement and contributed to the well-being of animals in need.
- Interactive Training Session: Octávio led an interactive session for participants, teaching valuable techniques for training and working with dogs. Attendees learned how to incorporate these methods into future walks, gaining insights on effectively guiding and communicating with their canine companions.
- Animal Adoption Opportunities: Participants learned about the adoption process and the unique histories of the shelter dogs. The event played a crucial role in promoting animal adoption and raising awareness about the importance of providing loving homes for these animals.
- Community Involvement: The event was held in a public area, bringing together Innowavers and other park visitors. This diverse blend of attendees fostered a sense of community and connection among all present, creating an inclusive atmosphere that supported a meaningful cause and promoted the well-being of our four-legged friends.
